We are almost there>

Today we have a microwave and the kitchen is coming together. The cupboards that were ordered with the counter tops will be here Dec 22ND. We have a new faucet and disposal to be installed and it looks so nice so far. The new faucet will be the high spigot so you put large pans under it.

I will be very hesitant to cook for a while, only because I don't want to dirty the stove and microwave but of course that won't last long.

The blank wall opposite the stove and refridgerator will be for a counter with cupboards and drawers and a shelf at the end for recipe books. There will be cupboards above also so I can empty my pantry in the hallway and use the hallway for linen and things.

And the Remodeling Begins

The remodeling started as the new appliances arrived. The new Refrigerator is the French door with the freezer on the bottom. The stove is flat top with a warmer drawer, the microwave will go above the stove. We are getting a garbage disposal but we did not order a dishwasher because we did not want to give up cupboard space. The French door refrigerator was anywhere 1/8th of an inch to 3/4 of inch too wide. We thought if we took the molding off it would fit but it was too tight. We could not cut off the counter because we had already ordered the counter tops and door fronts so the only solution was to remove the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. So here we have it.

The stove is beautiful too and here is picture of it. the rest of house has kitchen cupboard contents all through it. The counters don't come in until Dec 22 so we should be done second week of January at the most.
